EDIT: We cant and wont hate on the players or coaches.
Guys im pissed too but theres better ways to share your disgust then to disrespect our QB. Take a breather and we'll see you tomorrow.

But you are right Porterie looked awful tonight...he was so predictable for those DB's and safeties. He doesn't look away the defenders...he focuses on one receiver so the DB knows where the ball is going and can either put himself in position for a broken up pass or a pick. He was fortunate tonight to not have a pick 6.

I agree. DP needs to make some of those throws but the play calling couldhave been much better too. I just didnt get the draw 40 times.
Rodney was a freaking beast tonight is what will get lost in all this.

Rodney was unstoppable. And our O-line played much better than I thought they would. Those were the two bright spots on the offense. DeAndre is a beast on defense, and the rest of the defense played excellent.
If there isn't a major change in playcalling this week, it could be an ugly night Saturday.
I don't understand what happened with Porterie's passing game. It's not like he's a complete rookie. I think he had something like 3 or 4 starts last year and he led UNM to roughly 3 comeback victories. And he was able to hit lots of receivers in stride on the midfield slants for major yardage. In fact he threw for ~ 375 yards in one game if I recall correctly. The guy was an accurate and dependable passer last year. How or why has he lost his swagger? Is he having personal issues off the field? Has Baldwin gotten inside his dome by not trusting him to throw downfield? Does he have a physical ailment that hasn't been disclosed? Something just doesn't stack up here. It's not as though he's an unproven talent. He's proven he can do it in the past. Why the regression in season two?
And how long will the coaches allow this to continue before they go to Option B?

I don't beleive that DP played that bad. IMO the coach's let themselves get into a gring it out game. That has been Rocky's m.o. sense he's been here. They need to learn to take advantage of the great ground game we have. You have got to give our young qb confidence early. Maybe go with a set first 15 play's, with alot of short accurate passes. Any thing to get him comfortable early. Let's just not giveup on DP or this team.

I think the playcalling was intended to give Porterie confidence. Give him some short easy completions. But he was so off with his throws, it never allowed them to do more.
