Why I watch Lobo Women's Basketball

I am just a normal 18 year old teenager. Yes I do like girls, and ya I think most of our lobo team are beautiful young women. Aside from that. I grew up watching Coach Flanagan and the ladies play. I am now in my 9th year of watching Coach and the staff and ladies. I have enjoyed most of those years. Last year 08-09, I enjoyed that season the most. From the Win against Depaul, win at State after being down 9-0 early to a great but sad loss Kansas and a great finish at he 2009 Women's Basketball Awards Banquet (which all the ladies looked so beautiful!). These ladies are like my family, I have a family at Home, I have teachers at school who I trust completly, I have a Ice Cream Family (since my dad owns an Ice Cream Store) and a Lobo Family (Most of you Fans are awesome and I appericate the chats). These ladies have 3 things I truley admire 1. Grade point Average of 3.5 or better 2. They are Kind 3. They respect the fans and they respect each other and oppenets. I have my favorites over the years and I enjoy every player that put on the cherry and silver. From Abbie Letz to my Favorite Now Sara Halazas. It's been a fun ride. I mean I am getting ready for college and I cant wait to still yell for Our Lobos as a freshman in college. GO LOBOS! Vis-a-vis Sara Halasz I share your feelings. Whenever she comes into a game I switch to full alert, sensing a pick-up in the action. Then, whenever a new sub enters the game, I hope against hope she's not coming in for Sara. I'm looking forward this year to her playing a bunch of 30+ minute games. And think of it; with 15 extra pounds, they'll be even more of Sara to watch.

These girls mean alot to me! They rock! This is why Lobo Women's Basketball gets me into the seats every season begging for more. I remember the first game I went to it was the game in 01-02 where Texas Tech was ranked #6/8 in the Country and our ladies destroyed them. What a game. I mean I know how the game has changed. It's a more of a up and quick tempo kinda like how sara halazas plays. She is awesome.

I agree Snu, and that's how I felt about Amy when she was a freshman. She would bring a spark of energy to the floor and her one man press could cause trouble for the other teams offense. Hard to believe she is a senior. How can four years go by so fast.

I remember the first time I met Amanda Best and Nikki Nelson, I was walking down central and all the sudden I saw Best Wearing a Lobo Women's Basketball shirt. I said hello I am Will and whats up, do you play basketball for New Mexico. She said damn your tall and yes both of us do play basketball for New Mexico. Well fast forward to 2009-10 both our big players for our team. Best is ms. Improved from last year and Nikki is getting herself ready to Run the Point in 2010-11. Which is weird because I trust both of those girls. they are both sweet and kind. Nikki is really a sweetie. Its been a fun and enjoyable ride watching these ladies!

How is your coaching job going? Did you get a chalkboard?

Coaching is awesome! Ya I found a Whiteboard man those things arent cheap. I found the best one for 15 bucks. **** the one flanagan has is like 40 bucks. But I will admit it on the Lobo Lair that I do Have a huge Crush on Sara Halazas hope Marie Doesnt tell her that. but Its been fun watching these girls and I have learned alot from them to help me start coaching! I bought a White Board at big 5 and the quality of the first one I bought sucked! The court started to whip off when I erased. So i took it back, and they let me exchanged it for a better quality white board. So I like this newer one. Its alot better quality. I mean aside from that I do think Halazas is very Beautiful. She is a good friend to me. I trust her 100%. I would hated it if someone hurts her. She is like my sister! I really care about Sara. I remember the day I met her. Wow I thought damn she is beautiful. That was the Arizona vs New Mexico game. Damn that was really cool meeting her. I saw Best and Nikki talking to them and I went up since I am good friends with Nikki and Best, they said will these are our new freshman, Sara and Lauren, I said Hi and shook hands with Sara and Lauren. Best and Nikki gave me a big hug and then Sara gave me the cool hand shake. I introduced a friend to them, they said Best and Nikki Will is awesome! Then after seeing the troops I ran into Amanda Adamson and Val Kast, Amanda said whats up will and gave me a huge hug. Now I put this team as my favorite of all time 2008-2009.
