COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - New Mexico senior Brandi Kimble has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Kimble was named Most Valuable Player for the Women's Sports Foundation Tournament after averaging 16.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game for the Lobos during the Nov. 9-11 event. Kimble led New Mexico to a 3-0 record and set new career-highs against Western Michigan. The Stevenson Ranch, Calif., native scored 22 points and pulled down 20 rebounds against the Broncos in the Lobos' 85-62 win. Her 20 boards against Western Michigan tie for fifth all-time in the MWC.

The guard went on to score 10 points against Dayton and concluded the tournament with 17 points versus Northwestern. During the tournament, Kimble was 15-of-37 from the field, 7-of-17 from behind the arc and 12-of-15 from the free throw line. She also added a team-high five steals, six assists and only turned the ball over four times.

This marks Kimble's first career Player of the Week honor.
