Someone may have already mentioned this and I just missed it, but ESPN is reporting that Clarke has added Oklahoma State to the list of schools he is interested in and is no longer interested in New Mexico. Maybe someone can shed some light on what happened. Did UNM become less interested in Clarke and this precipitated his dropping us from the list? Did the fact that Brwon is going to make a visit scare Clarke off? What happened?

Its my understanding that we were never really in it with Clarke no matter what he said. I think he was just campaigning for more pub.

My guess is that his whole recruitment was a diversion. He's going to Oral Roberts to join his dad.

It's possible, he's talked before about his faith -- that and being close to family might be a big deal for him.

I am an ORU and UNM alum. Word around ORU is that Rotnei has told the players he is going to ORU. His faith is important, and so is playing close to home. That does not give ORU fans any comfort though. They are just as frustrated as we were. I think he should go to ORU. He would be a great get for UNM, but we can get other players of that caliber, and he will be a cog in the machine here. At ORU, he will be the man for four years, dominate a weaker conference, and probably go to four NCAA's.

I was just glad to see that we made Rotnei's final 10, whether it was real or imaginary. It's pretty cool to be listed along with the "big boys" for recruits, instead of mostly what people call "mid-majors".

Hate to see that, you guys had me believing the UNM was a real player. Good luck with McDonald this weekend.

He had us all believing. Did you listen to his radio interview? Pretty convincing!

Well, hows that song go......"you can't always get what you want, no you can't always get what you want, but if you try real hard you just might get what you need" , and that's they way we seem to be going, we're getting what we need. These coaches are amazing!!!

I don't understand what Clarke was doing leading us and other schools around.

To Burro Lobo, That quotation you're using beneath your sig I believe comes from the standup comic with the ultra dry delivery, Stephen Wright. I've used that line for years because it captures the essence of humor, a sudden derailment from the expected linear flow of a line of thinking.

Yeah, I found it funny. It took me by enormous surprise- not being what I was expecting to follow from the prior statement, and it was not perceived as personally dangerous. On a different level, there is certainly a subjective element to humor. You may find slapstick hilarious and I might prefer subtle puns. You may find that Britney fan effeminate, and I might find him light in the loafers. See!
