LOOKING FORWARD TO UNM BASEBALL

anyone else looking forward to the upcoming baseball season here at UNM? persoanlly i can't wait to see how much of a difference Birmingham makes here, i'll admit i wasn't much of a backer when he was hired but now i'm starting to buy into what he's trying to do here. he seems like a great guy with lots and lots of confidence in his philosphy of coaching. let's get behind the program and help turn it around into becoming a regional power, we've had the facilities for the past 3 years, and now we have a coach to complement the program. eventually with success in the region, success on the national level will follow...

I think Birmingham will make a big difference. The program had become stagnant, and it was in dire need of a change.

I love college baseball and always thought that UNM had the opportunity to be very succesful in that arena. The great facilities are a huge advantage. What is the support level like? We go watch the Hawgs play and often there is 8,000 plus. It's great watching a college game with that many fans there.

I'm very excited about Birmingham. Hopefully he can increase the recruiting and get some things done. We are blessed to have some phenomenal talent, but overall it could be increased.
