We picked up one for Christmas and man they are cool. I got a gift card to best buy so I bought Guitar Hero 3. That game is very addicting and fun. It's also a bluray player which is a nice bonus.

Really? Im thinking about buying either a ps3 or a xbox. i hear xbox has more games. . .

I'd agree the xbox 360 does have more games right now but I've always been biased towards the playstation so I never went for the xbox 360. I do have the regular xbox and I hardly ever play it. I'm sure that they are both equally as good in many areas but I really wanted a bluray player and that's not an option with the xbox but I've heard you can get a hd dvd player and hook it up to it. Another reason I went with the playstation is Grand Turismo. I absolutely love that game. The wireless features on the playstation use bluetooth technology instead of infrared.

PS3's have superior graphics, and they are slowly dropping good games. PS3's are geared more towards the digital age, and the HDTV's. You can't beat a blueray player as well. Although one day it's gonna come down to HDDVD, and Blueray. One of them will be obsolete.

XBox's 360 are just a tad lower than Ps#'s, but for the casual gamer you won't really notice it.
I own a 360, and love it! I'm a big HALO 3 freak, and love the gameplay.
IMO, 360 has better games, and better overall online capability. Although I havn't played any games online for the PS3.

Bluray and HD-DVD are the next generation in dvd's. They offer more storage than a conventional dvd and superior graphics. Philly is right eventually one technology will win out over the other kinda like beta vs vhs. Disney is putting out all of their movies on bluray exclusively from what I understand. That's big time for me because I love PIXAR.

With Warner Bros. announcing Blu-Ray only (just weeks after stating that it would remain neutral...$$$$$$$$$$$$) it is only a matter of time before HD-DVD loses the race.

My bro just bought the PS3 and we both recognize the derth of good games for the platform right now. XBOX360 has a great number of excellent titles out right now. Hopefully that will change soon....for my brother's sake.
