Great game, UTEP could not miss their 3 pointers late. Good thing we had a big lead. Jackson is punk, the way he forearmed Faris late was ridiculous. I thought there were a ton on no calls on fouls by UTEP, but you never would have known by the way those homer announcers called the game.

i cant even comment on the refs. its tough to say though. with guys like smith getting elbowed and pushed back and all the ref does is TALK to the guy in OT? overall i guess it was decent.

although every miner fan will be talking about the faris walk, you can pick and choose all the other crap and ref misses. but do they, nope???

Listening to Mike is great. I heard alford say "self destruct" when Jackson fouled out and got the technical. He and Neal were both yelling at Smith. Classic stuff. They should gives those guys a raise right now...

I used to complain about Mike Roberts geting so exercised about what he saw as poor calls that he stopped calling the game, but next to those announcers at the end, he is unemotional and completely objective. After all, he does occasionally admit the Lobos luck out from time to time on calls. I will never criticize him again (and we'll see how long that lasts, but since KKOB also hangs on me, I may not get much of a chance to hear him. Perhaps switching to Firefox will help.)

These turdmuffins are yelling about arguably bad calls hurting the Miners, but are silent when faced with atrocious calls the other way. Like when Toppert was standing there with his arms up and got called for the block. (I guess it was a three-second call - he hadn't been standing there for three seconds). Five seconds before that a Miner ran over a Lobo - again a no call. From what I saw (admittedly only part of the game on a small window) the refs were mediocre*, but they spread their mistakes around.

The video hung up a couple of times. I have figured out that when it's on I shouldn't try to use any other site - it froze those two times when I was trying to keep track of the comments here.

I'd bettter enjoy this while I can. In about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks I go back to 60 + hours a week it's tax season.


*OK, I was trying to be polite, but I must tell the truth - they sucked. Lots of mistakes and inconsistent to boot.
