Here are two articles on Sara Halasz. Having never seen her play, I can't predict how much she will help us next year, but we can always hope. (My apologies if these have already been posted. I don't remember seeing them with pictures.)

You never know how good these players are, or how they will adapt to the college game, but she sounds like a keeper for sure!

Go Lobos!

Her big pluses are her work ethic and smarts, she can work into the Flan system but will not be a go to player until maybe her junior or senior year. For comparisons sake the Valencia twins from Moriarty just ate her up at the Lobo camp this summer. They are bigger, faster, with better handles and much better defenders than Sara.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe Sara Halasz was at camp this summer.

I think you are describing our other signee, Lauren Taylor. I agree with your analysis of her (and the Valencias too - especially Kristin). I see Lauren as similar to Chad Toppert. Chad knew he wasn't ready for DI, so he red-shirted and worked hard to build up his strength and to become more than just a 3-point specialist. I think we would all agree that he has done that. Hopefully, Lauren will too.

Both Lauren and Sara are pencil thin and need to get their bodies in D1 shape. But from what I've heard, Halasz has good handles and is the better player of the two. Still, I'm hoping for much better in the Spring signing period.

That would be great, but I'd be shocked to find a quality impact player in the spring. The last player we signed in the spring was Geo Jackson.
