Maybe I was just being overly optimistic, but I was hoping that Phillip McDonald would commit this weekend, and cancel his other visit(s).
It's too bad that Iliana wasn't around to maybe at least talk to him and see how he enjoyed his visit in his own words.
I was just wondering if anyone got any ideas on how he liked it here for his visit.
It would be great if he did in fact commit, instead of going anywhere else(it happens all the time). I guess I'm kind of antsy, since PM is our number one target. I sure would love to see him verbal to UNM.:D

Although it would be nice to see. That's wishful thinking. McDonald is a kid that keeps everything close to his sleeve. I do think McDonald will commit to UNM once he takes all his visits.

I have a feeling that Coach Walker is an important factor for McDonald. Not to mention having fellow T-Mac Teammates..." Crusher and Big Will". I think J'Covan Brown will be a Lobo!

Phillip was laughing it up on the sidelines with Curtis and Nweke. They seem to be really good friends. I think that's a big plus for us. Plus Crusher and Will...it will be like home for him at UNM.

McDonald will take UNM to new Heights. The class of 08 would be McDonald as "Icing on the cake". Not to mention if J'Covan Brown commits to UNM after his visit..which is not unlikely. UNM could be looking at a Top 15 Class..with J'Covan and McDonald rounding out the class...possibly Top 10.

I believe I have have read that more recruits commit to their fist visited school than any subsequent ones. Not always true Oregon owes its rise to prominence to Luke Ridnour's decision to use his last visit after all, and visit Oregon. Otherwise he might have been bedeviling the Lobos for three years as a Ute.
You can never tell but from two different people I talked to they told me that he looked like he was having a good time. I did see him smiling a lot but you cant put a lot of stock in that. I will try to find out more!

It's encouraging to see he was having a good time. The fact that he has people here he is comfortable with has to count for something.
This recruiting biz is crazy, though, I'm on rick's med plan...sedatives to keep me unexcited until we get that commit....better yet, that LOI.
Thanks to everyone for all of the updates, info and pics from an out-of-towner!!!!

Even better yet...when they get cleared by the NCAA and are enrolled for classes at UNM!

I saw him at the FB game and he seemed to be having a great time. Curtis and Kem were by his side the whole time. They were certainly working him hard.

From what I've seen in person and trough the media, he's a laid back guy. But he seemed comfortable here. I don't think he was WOWED, but if he was he didn't show it.
That football game had to have earned brownie points. That was a crazy game! UNM definitely put it's best foot forward in that aspect.
I would like to think UNM has the inside track, but you can't ignore offers from KU and Oregon.
Maybe someone can tell Philip that UNM beat the Ducks the last time they met in the PIT, FWIW.
There's no doubt that Philip would complement the great recruiting class SA and Staff have coming in.
BE A LOBO PHILIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
