Did any news channels give any news on Philly or Curtis?

J.P. really needs to stick with commenting on the facts, and stay away from opinion pieces. Hi take on the Rio Grande Rivalry was pretty bad. He thinks it's pointless to have the RR, and totally misses the point of the whole deal. TO GENERATE INTEREST IN THE OTHER MINOR SPORTS!

J.P. kinda lost points in my book with his little rant.

Everything else was nice on the show

What'd he say about the recruits? Anything?

I didn't catch the whole show, but I didn't hear one thing about Lobo Basketball period.
Kinda weak.

The media has kind of laid an egg this weekend, haven't they?

I think their main focus was on the football game.

Rightly so.
Us Lobo fiends want more though.

Yeah, and the only one who really gives us coverage (Iliana) was out of town.

Yeah, other than a short about the VB team, it was all about FB. No mention of the scrimmage or the recruits visiting.

Here is what is funny... Prior to us going to football practices and writing about them and taking pictures of them neither newspaper was there every day nor did they post stories all the time (around 2002)... Now it is a big deal. Part of that is yes the team started winning, but part of that is that 2-4 guys were getting stories and getting people to read about it.

In another thread Loborick said the media had more access to the team/players/coaches than we do. No offense Rick but that is simply not the case. The reason the Lobo football players/coach love our website and the end zone section is because we showed them love when everyone else overlooked them and didn't care. Notice I didn't say 100%positive as we never have been and people are critical about players and coaches all the time. But it is that we cared enough to be there and take their picture(s) and be there when they were mutts. Now that the masses "like them" none of these players have forgotten their roots and the old guys tell the young guys, and recruits are told by older guys, and it has just gone on and on and on and if conversations I had with former players, coaches, and administrators all indications are it will continue to go on...

Trust me Rick, our access is huge because we are doing the footwork that nobody else is doing. I believe RPS wants to do the same footwork and he has done a hell of a job thus far. Think about it Rick and everyone else... RPS has pictures and a story, we have some video of shirts and skins. We have some video of the Lobo Leap, interviews with players and coaches, and a write up of the football game...

I looked at the coaches show last night, read the newspapers, watched the news, and not because I had any interest, but just to verify what I already knew. Their coverage wasn't a 10th as good as we had, and in some cases it wasn't going to be a positive write up, and it sure as hell was already old news...

BANDITO, we need to get organized and start door knockin or head knockin, no, hello sports casters?

The problem with your access, Bandito, is I would have to pay to read your stories. I don't read your stories so I can't read what type of quotes you are using or from whom. I will tell you I am offended by premium sites and have never paid to read one. I can get everything I need without paying for it.
