Thanks, Zoom.

Here's some more records that she broke recently (from the Brownsburg home page http://www.brownsburg.k12.in.us/bhs/athletics/Girls_Basketball/)

"Lauren Taylor has broken 2 team records in the last few weeks.

#1 She hit 12 out of 12 free throws in one game for a new record.
#2 She hit 26 free throws in a row to break the old record of 20.

Lauren has accepted a scholarship to play basketball for the University of New Mexico “Lobos” next year. By the way, that is Steve Alford’s new school."

(Guess she'll have to settle for being only the 2nd best known Indianan at UNM.:wink)

Coach did mention she reminds him a lot of Julie Briody. Doesn't Julie have the UNM record for most consecutive FT's?

Last year, Lauren shot 39% from 3. Anyone know what her % is this year? (yes, see the stats below; currently at 36.6%)

From Flan's statement, Lauren may be physically more ready for D-I than Julie was. She is a shooter, a scorer, and aggressive, apparently able to dribble-penetrate. If so, then she is a big-time catch for us, the type of player who would get a lot of playing time this year.

shhhhhh - don't jinx her. Julie had a great streak going until everyone started talking about it. I remember Miranda Sanchez having a great streak going. Then they wrote an article in the paper about it - yep she missed the next one.

Sounds like she and Sarah Halasz (?) will be nice additions to the team next year.
