Any thoughts? Comments?
I know Mayweather isnt the most likable guy but he didnt do anything illegal, Ortiz did. And then after the first punch Ortiz looked at Ref...Uh get your hands up bro, you in the ring and remember like 30secs earlier you tried to give him a head butt uppercut.
All I know is Pacquiao vs Mayweather better happen.

Boxing = Corrupt
Always has been, always will be. I know lots of people like it, but it is way too subjective in it's scoring and thus always subject to controversy. Kind of like gymnastics and figure skating.

Its so true....I have been one of the few remaining boxing fans and what happened last night pretty much shut me off to it. You had an obvious biased ref in the Alvarez fight stopping a fight when Gomez was beating or tied with him. Then you have the attempted head but dive, followed by the sucker punch of all time and then Merchant telling Floyd he wants to kick his butt. HUGE black eye for a sport that has turned into the WWE. Sad.
Michael Rosenthal sums up the way I feel about it.

As far as this being "another black eye for boxing", frankly I don't buy it. As a matter of fact, the "another black eye for boxing" and "the fight to save boxing" have become two of the most redundant cliches used by the media when the have to cover boxing. Some of the antics that take place in boxing are NO worse and NO less common than in ANY other sport that we follow.

I agree. Mayweather and Pacman would be the greatest boxing match!
