Computer Repair

I'd like to give my old computer to someone I know. It is an older Dell and needs a hard drive (large storage not needed), and a cooling fan. The new drive needs an operating system installed. The old drive has to be removed so I can sledgehammer it. The old noisy fan has to be removed. I believe I have the software CDs. I'm hoping someone is able to help me get this donation ready and how much it will cost.
