View Full Version : So... who's in for a Sac State tailgate and welcome to RPS?
Let's see if we can get another big fish!
List it here if you think you're in, and we can start organizing this thing now! Let's eat, drink, party, woo the last piece of the '08 puzzle to become a Lobo, drink and eat some more, and then watch the Lobos roll up about 70 points and 600 yards. Oh, and then we'll all revel in the fact that Mike's Houston Fab Five has come to be.

I will definitely join you guys for the Sac. State Tailgate! Just tell me what to bring and where to be.
I've got a big company tailgate that day, but can probably sneak away for quick visit. Is there going to be a shirts/skins scrimmage that day??
I think the s n s's was a one time thing. I'll check.
When SA spoke of some of his ideas to market the basketball team, he talked about open scrimmages before the home football games. Definitely he was talking about multiple opportunities for the community to get a sneak peak on this year's team. So, I expect that there will be another scrimmage before the Sac St game.

If there's a recruit in town, then there will be shirts and skins. So, expect it to happen.
I will be there. I hope I get to meet J'covan just like I did PM. IT was nice to meet this guy. I sure did my part to convince him.

I'm really stunned by all the people confirming for this tailgate verses the Aggie game. I would have thought it to be the other way around.I guess a good party travels fast! lol

Hey, RPS, can you find out if the scrimmage will be at 4 or earlier? I believe kickoff for this one is about 6pm.
Based on that, when do we want to start showing up?
Saying 2 hours before.... Im guessing around 4ish so we want to get there around 1:20ish?

I agree, RPS. 1'ish is good. I would like to get there with enough time to spread out a little bit. We don't have a fancy tent like Philly had so we'll bring sunblock for the gueros (sp?).
As far supplies go (and yes, I realize this is early but it's only a week away!) the Bloos will bring:
Flanks
Burgers/dogs
Buns
Ketchup/mustard/burger-y type items
Drinks - beer and non-beer type drinks. We'll bring a variety of beers so if you want something special, bring it
Cups/plates/utensils/napkins
Chips/Snacks
Anyone care to volunteer for:
Grill (very important as I don't know how ours will fit in the Explorer)
Tent (not necessary but nice to have)
Table/chairs (probably necessary and extremely useful - plan on bringing them for yourself anyway)
Whatever else you want to bring
Anything I've forgotten
Just let me know what to bring and I will. Philly, can you hook up the grill again?

A crazy story with the grille that night on the way home. The grille almost fell out onto I-40 on the way home. It was barely hanging by the strap we had on a bump from the freeway. We lost all the rocks in it, and metal grille part.

That's too bad. It's a week away, I'm sure we'll find one by then. That tent was pretty handy, though :rolleyes: We'll take inventory on who's bringing what on Thursday night and we'll talk!

Pretty much, but I wasn't really counting.
Everyone who helped gave more than enough though.
I was impressed by the turnout.

We should change the last part of the name of this thread to Garth, Will Brown, and Rusher instead of J. Brown, but we need to hang this up to keep a count of who's coming and who's bringing what.

That's at least 14 people. This Sac State tailgate is blowing up! Which is weird...but in a good way.
I've got a company department picnic/tailgate that day, catered with a big tent and all the fixin's. But it won't be as fun the Lair tailgate. I'll be sure to stop by, though. Probably for the scrimmage. BTW, I think I need to change the name of this thread since J'Covan is no longer coming for a visit.

I've wanted to throw down a dunk ever since finding out I was too short to post anybody up. Is there a trampoline involved?
But really, where is this LoboLair tailgate happening and how would a newbie like me recognize it? Just look for the dunk tank?
Does a lair have a gate anyway? A lair gate? maybe it's time to come up with some catchy name for the big event. Any ideas?
fyi- You'll get more victims for the tank if you fill it with beer... just a thought...

I'm down for every game, so I'll be there whenever! Bloo and NotBloo have already made plans for this weekend and have changed some of their other plans, so I say we do this Saturday. AND BYU!
