If we get J'Covan, does the staff starts focusing on the '09 class, with some '08 guys on tabs in case anything falls through? How would you handle that, yakka, or anyone?

You get J'Covan, then you're done. You go home to count your winnings and get ready to go back to the table in 09. In 09 you try to land the whales - Christian Watford and DJ Richardson. You land those 2 to go with the returning talent in 09 (and possibly Hobson by then), and SA will have the horses to make a lot of noise on the national stage.

Well yeah the staff is in contact with the 09 prospects! Coach Miller is talking to Watford, Peete etc That's why you have coach Walker working on J'Covan...then you have Coach Miller talking to 09 recruits so that you can recruiting going!

It sounds like recruiting is an ongoing process in today's game.

It's a 24-hour a day job!!! Coach Olson always talks about getting the word out that you want kids to come and play for you...building that relationship, which is last 24 hrs until the next day...so it's always ongoing. No doubt a really exiciting element that fans have gotten into! And along the way you build bonds with kids and become close to their families.
