Why someone chose a school is as important as the school they chose. Its simple -- someone in NY is not going to understand why a player would choose NM over Kansas.

Anyone from the other side of the Country who doesn't know anything about UNM basketball what so ever is someone that has no idea why kids are looking at UNM. I think KU and other fans of other programs who cannot understand how UNM is getting kids like Phillip McDonald will regret anything negative they said about Coach Alford and his staff. And I cannot wait until it happens....UNM is already getting a lot of respect from a lot of top college coaches. Starting in 2008 I would like to see a home and home with KU for starters!

I don't know the actual circumstances, but movies often embellish on things. They don't say "this is a true story", they say "this is based on a true story" or "this is based on actual events". I've been trying to find the info online, but haven't had any luck yet.
