Wow, Kobe played one of the best fourth quarters I've ever seen a player play (say that one fast three times!). He was not to be denied. Say what you will about Kobe, but I think he just moved into Jordan territory tonight with many of those who still had some doubts.

Whomever the Lakers play in the finals will be a tough matchup. But the Lakers are playing better than either Detroit or Boston.

However it could be a banner year for Kobe if he closes it out. MVP, NBA Championship, Olympic Games gold medal. It could be quite a year, but he needs to close it out.

Some sour grapes? The announcers last night were ready to pass the mantle to him. Doesn't matter what you think. He is the best since Jordan.

I think if Kobe does lead his team to a ring this year he will most certainly be on level ground with MJ.

That is my contentment as well. This way he sheds the whole Shaq image. Though I am a Spurs fan, I want the west to win. If the Lakers win...8 out of the last ten titles would have gone to either the Lakers or Spurs!
