It's a bit of a shocker to see my son's contemporaries getting drafted into the pro's. My son was a pitcher who played with Gracey on the LaCueva team. He played against Weiland in High School and he also played with Weiland on a joint La Cueva/Eldorado American Legion team. His only High School pitching loss (he did not play in his senior season) was to Weiland as a freshman. And he got a W against Weiland in their sophomore year. It's just strange to see guys you watched growing up as kids suddenly get drafted into pro ball. Seems like it was just yesterday.
