You Know You Have Issues When you go to a basketball camp and wish that you could just sit there all day a watch basketball damn well knowing about 98% of the recruits will never play for your school because you dont have any scholarships. You know you have a problem when your wife says you have this problem. You know you have a problem when you wish there was basketball 24/7 365. Anyways..

I was only able to catch the last 50 mins of pure full court scrimmage with coach Neal running the show. He was putting some intriguing line ups like Rusher and Hardeman together and others. All the players looked exhausted and like there were just waiting for the final buzzer so they could go home. After the camp coach Alford pulled all the campers together and gave a speech about playing together, working on your weaknesses and that they plan on seeing all these guys at all star camps and playing with their AAU team etc.Heres what I saw but keep in mind I saw only about the last 50 mins of actual scrimmage.

Rusher:
Oh well, on to the good.Rusher looked tired but played well. I talked him and he said he will be here in December and is just trying to get used to the thick air here saying "im just going to do a little razzel dazzle and get in shape". Again, the whole no sir yes sir thing in action.

Lavonte Dority was short and sweet but it spoke volumes. In passing off campus I asked how the camp went and he said "oh, it was great". I then asked him if UNM was still high on his list and he looked at me with a slight smirk and said "sshhh, you kidding?" and then when he started to walk away he smiled as to imply that they are a major player in his recruitment.

The player who impressed me the most was Watson. I was able to catch up off campus with him too and chatted real brief with him. He told me that he is playing for the M33M ballers and that hes reiterated hes from Canada. I didnt bother to ask who was recruiting him because we dont have a spot nor need for him but he was clearly (in my eyes) the best player under 6'9".

Alex Kirk looked better today than I remember him yesterday. Much more active and running the court well.

Fenton is pure hustle and was instrumental in a handful of fast break points. The guys fast and sees the court just about as good as anyone I saw over the weekend.

Dority DNP.

Gary was just Gary. Th guy leaves it all on the court every time his sneakers hit the court. He might end up being a Royce Only in terms of hustle/smart plays guy.

Tony looked good. Slashing every time he touched the ball and either scoring or creating contact for a foul. He shot looked a little better in the time I saw. Guys a athletic freak and dunk like its nothing.

Faris was acting a little frustrated today. Im not sure what had transpired earlier but he looked a little off his game.

Will Brown showed a few more post moves today but thats a few more than I saw from him yesterday. To his credit I didnt see him too much yesterday because he played in the Pit most of the day. He showed nice touch around the rim today (even though they were rimming out) and was hitting the boards a little too. Again he showed some of his mid rage jumper that he was hitting this weekend.

Toby O again was showing why hes one of the top players in Texas. The guys the same age as Kirk yet showed that he was more skilled at this point. More athletic and faster to the ball. Kirk carries more weight so he was able to have his way with Tobys slight build. Kirks more of a post up and power you down as where Tobys a more athletic face you up and take it to you type player.

reminds me of the time I sat through 3 hours of pickup at johnson back 2 years ago the summer of JRs junior year. Fun stuff to watch when you have the right athletes out there. I cant imagine 4-5 "Jrs" out there like what you saw today and sat.

I really didnt see much of him in the morning. He was shooting but it wasnt falling for him. Needless to say his has a nice shot and form. Neals son was shooting during lunch and hes a dead eye. The kid wasnt missing.
