Today marks a special day in the websites history. The LoboLair.com is offically a media member as of 3pm this afternoon. Ruben and I met with Greg Remington about the future of this site and where we can take it. We talked about a lot of things from the expectations of our pass, our approach to writing stories, and many new great ideas. Many of these ideas have never been done before and in fact we have to do some research to find out if its totally within the NCAA rules. We now have full access to all of UNM sports. Were going to be on the sidelines, up top in the press box and down low in Lobo Level covering all of the games.
We will finally have access to the players who we can conduct interviews with and get video and audio if needed. Were young but we got some great feedback about the site and thats all a testament of you guys. Thanks to all of you who make this a great site and things are only ramping up as far as the coverage comes. I dont want to give away too much right now but if things work out right you can plan on seeing things youve never see on a message board before! I would also like to thank dcrowley on some of his great ideas! Im sure Roob will add some of the stuff I forgot.

Great news, RPS. I'm glad that UNM recognized that the Lair is a responsible outlet. Hopefully your access will help put some pressure on certain Journal writers to actual report some news rather than just reflexively look for controversy and bash Lobo fans for having hope in their team.

RPS did a great job representing the site. We met a couple of the athletic department honchos, really good guys both of them. One pass available to RPS. I'll join RPS with a single game pass on occasion for some of the big football and basketball games that merit additional coverage. We should have lots of fun with writing some game stories for the site. The one thing the administrator encouraged on is that we write in a professional way, i.e., don't just come on this board and post some comments in the form of a message. Good advice. I'm looking forward to some good stories.

Funny you mention that Brooks. The example the UNM brought up was that of a guy with press credentials who was screaming at the officials as they came off the field. Hopefully we can keep RPS under wraps.
