I feel sorry for Rick Romero. He's a childhood friend. He was just started the job a couple of weeks before this happened. What a way to start a new job. Most of all I feel sorry for the young men who were assaulted. The coaches needed to be aware of what was going on. They were running into town and doing other things and not supervising these kids. Kids this age need constant supervision, and that was not happening.

Horrific, sad, enraging, I can't think of the proper adjectives to describe how depraved and disheartening these events were.

I saw this, sadly enough, yesterday as one of the most viewed news stories on yahoo.com. A sad and humiliating day for all of New Mexico. I hope the victims the best in trying to move beyond this.
