DP was a little off on his passing last week and the offense never really seemed to get in synch, until their backs were against the wall at the end of each half. It's one of those types of games we may have lost if it were a different year. However, this year, this team seems to have something special going on and it learned a lesson without having to lose a game to learn that lesson.
The SDSU QB exposed our run defense and that gets special attention this week from the coaches. I expect our run defense to be much tougher.
Too much speed at our receivers for the Falcons to cover them adequately. If they throw more cover guys, then Rodney has a big night. Look for our offense to keep their defense off balance and for us to execute a balanced attack, mixing in deep balls, screens and hard runs by our backs. If DP's accuracy is on, it could be a big offensive night.
The last game was iffy and I think our boys have something to prove this week and want to show they're a legimate title contender.

Game starts off poorly for the Lobos as we can't figure their offense. We do score though and so we're down between 7 and 10 at the half. Halftime adjustments, however, work and we do much better on D in the second half. We grind down their defense and make several big plays to win by about 4 points.

Glad to see everyone is predicting a Lobo win. It's going to be cold on a school night, but let's all show up and cheer them on to victory.

The day will be nice and sunny, but it will get cold as soon as the sun goes down (much sooner on the West side than on the East). So take some warm clothes and make it hot on the Flyboys!

Air forces big fullback will give us trouble....but lobos edge out a 35 to 28 win.

The one I'm worried about is Hall. He may be the best offensive player in the league. He lines up everywhere and does everything. We need to have a guy shadowing him all game.

This game will be a barnburner!
AFA 20
UNM 23
If UNM can limit TO's, and control the clock, UNM wins.
AFA has a REALLY good TO margin, and that is how they win games.
Hall is an explosive threat who has break out speed. UNM has to limit him, but not lose focus on Carney.
Who is all going to the game? Amanda has school, and I will be going solo unless someone lets me tag along ;)

This is going to be a tough game for the Lobos. They need to take care of the ball and Porterie needs to move the O when they get inside the 30. If he is playing well I think the Lobos win. The D will be playing tough, they always do.

I have read that Hall is questionable foir the game, having been briefly hospitalized from food poisoing. Even if he does play he might not be as effective as he usually is. I know we're supposed to say we want to beaqt them at theiur best, but for me in this case that's bushwah (I wish I knew the origiins of that word. I have a feeling it is to bullsh!+ as gosh darn is to G-ddamn

The Lobos under Rocky Long are one of the most formful teams in college fotball. They win when theyr'e an uinderdog, and lose when they're a favorite.
Since they're favored tonight, I'm pessimistic.
However one thing that might balance that out is that since last season, Porterie has played poorly in every game I've had occasion to watch.
Tonight, though, I won't get to see the game, so there's hope.
Lobos 30-28.
