I think Boston gets this one fairly easily. Beckett is flat out on fire right now and Boston has a ton of momentum and their playing at home. I've been hearing alot of talk lately how Colorado won in Boston during the regular season but this is the World Series and what happened over a 3 or 4 game series months ago doesn't carry much weight right now. However, Colorado has a great team full of guys that play baseball very hard and I don't think they will be intimidated. Boston just has too much going for them right now.

I've got class tonight and I hoping we get out early so I can see at least the latter part of the game.

Yes, I jumped on the bandwagon about 5-6 years ago when the yanks were always beating them. I cheer for the underdogs but then they actually won so it got better

My prediction came true. Game was close for a portion of the 6 innings. It may have only been close for the first 6 pitches, but I'm still amazed by my uncanny prediction. Rox get the split tomorrow - you heard it here first. And if they don't, I predict Sox win in 5 unless they win in 4.

Score is 11-1 in the 5th and Sox are still batting. Make that 13-1 after the Jacoby and Pedroia walk and they're still batting. At this point do you take Beckett out of the game and let 2 to 3 relievers finish this out, giving Beckett a chance to have a light outing so that you can use him on short rest in Game 4?? The answer is no, btw. At this rate Beckett won't have to take the mound again in this series. Sox in 4, you heard it here fifth. Actually, I'll wait till the outcome of tomorrow's game before I make a prediction. Stay tuned.

BTW, somebody's got to figure out how to schedule these things besides the TV Network excecutives. Last year Detroit had a huge layoff too after annihilating the AL competition. They too got destroyed in the series (in a 4 game sweep?).

Did McCarver just describe Jeter's cologne as having a "breathtaking fragrance"? That dude says some of the goofiest things. The other day he gave us some great insight when he told us that statistics prove that when you lead off an inning with a homerun you're more likely to score a run in that inning than when you lead off an inning with a walk.

It stayed 13-1. The series is on the line for the Rox tomorrow. They need to respond with an immediate statement. If not, down 2 games with Becket scheduled for Game 5 is not good.
