Game on. 6-5. 15 minutes ago you were thinking Bosox sweep. Suddenly the Rockies are off the matt and starting to deliver some punishing blows.

Is MacCarver really as bad as he seems? A guy from the Rox hits a 415 foot flyball out to centerfield. McCarver says "That ball is out in most parks". Yes Tim, I agree that most parks don't go 415 feet deep to dead center. Most of them go 400 to 405 deep. I understand your simple logic that a 415 foot drive in those parks is a homerun. But in most parks that 415 foot drive would have travelled 385 feet. Ugggghhhh.

Just wasn't meant to be for the Rox. Jacoby hits a flare down the line that is about 6 inches shy of being caught by Hawpe. No dice, 2 runs score. Then in the bottom half of the inning they hit a couple of hard line drives right at someone. That's how it goes sometimes. Over the course of a season those breaks even out, but not necessarily so in a 4 or 5 game series.

Okay, here comes Holliday to see if he can make this game interesting with another 3 run homer.

Well he hit it 375 to left field. That ball would have been out in most ballparks.

Dang, it's lonely on this thread. What happened to all the Rocky "fans" who were on here when they were on their 21 for 22 roll???? Anybody believe Rox can win 4 in a row???

The Red Sox have taken the fun out of watching the Series for the casual fan. Or, at least for this casual fan.

Remember, though, this casual fan is more of a Padre fan than anything else.

Geez, almost got into blows watching the game last night. A couple of drunk Rockies fans were sitting next to me and a couple of friends making snide remarks about us cheering for the Sox saying they had bought the WS. LOL! Ended up charming them with my winning personality. Of course...

I know what they are getting at but all championships in pro sports are "bought". To be competitive over an extended period of time you have to pay.

The bottom line...you gotta do it on the field. If all it took was spending money, the Yanks would win every year.
