Deserved Coach of the Year - took the men's team to 2nd place finish - instead conference gives it to BYU coach who has basically won this year and year out the last couple of years. It's too bad that Coach Franklin's remarkable work goes unnoticed - his work with cross-country and indoor - building upon the work of the Henry's is truly remarkable.

I'm obviously pretty biased, but I agree completely.

Considering the men's team had finished no higher than 5th in MWC history, was 6th last year, and scored just 1 point at the conference meet 10 years earlier, to finish 2nd with 102 points was a remarkable accomplishment. I thought his fellow MWC coaches would reward our dramatic improvement, but for whatever reason, they did not.
