There has been about 10,000 season tickets sold. If Jaguar is correct Southern will bring about 8,000. Since there is no TV for this game I'm expecting a good size walkup crowd of maybe 9,000. So my guess will be 27,500.
Just curious on what you all think the attendance will be for the game vs. Southern? Im just hoping the Lobo football team gets the support on saturday!! Obviously 30k+ would be great so...

I feel like an idiot! But I am an idiot so it kinda works out!
Not gonna happen. I checked and Southern didn't get much more than 8k for a couple of their HOME games last season.
I am guessing announced low 20s, with around 17-18k actual.
I'm guessing above 25k. Lobo fans show up when we need them.(see NMSU game last year) We know this is a crucial game for our program so we will show up.
A crucial game is one for a conf championship, against a rival, or maybe to go to a bowl. Playing a average 1AA team is far from it.
20K sounds about right.
35,000.
42,000+. We're undefeated baby! I'm hoping there is a good crowd to support our team. The guys have worked awfully hard this summer.

26,500

The students claim they are going into the stadium from South Lot, will see if they really do plan on attending the game.
I think there will be a good walk-up crowd.
28K

I would guess about 22,000.

I think the paper said that 16000 tickets had been sold. If it is a nice day, I expect 25k will be about it. Many have the attitude of darks post above, and don't realize the importance of this game, or of supporting the program to build something. You don't go from 3-a sideways 8 to competing with Boise in an off season. :-)
Go Lobos! Go Erskine & Shump! Go Lucas! Go Cam!
$1, Bob!
The hurricane might affect SU's crowd.
28k-30k because fans always come out to see the first game with a new coach
Ill be there with 4. Gonna pick up season tickets tomorrow.
You can still get them for $120!

Just picked up 5 tickets. According to UNM Tickets website, there are 9,212 tickets available. looking like a real good turn out, 30k+ possible!
I'm gonna say 29,000... A lot of people are gonna be like "man it's a nice day for football" on Saturday, and we will have a good walk up crowd!

Lets see I think I have a good formula to figure this out
Season Ticket Holders=10,000 Fans
Gameday fans who will buy there tickets day of +8000 Fans
Fans who will buy tickets once the game has begun +925
Weather Prediction is 94 Degrees Farenheit +1000 Fans
Fans wanting to see the new Head Coach +2500
Students +1025
Fans wanting to see the new field +750
Southern fans coming to Albuquerque for the game according to Jaguar225 +8000
The actual number of fans coming from southern -7950
Bringing the total to 24250
I was hoping it was more but what are you going to do. Math is Math

Attendance at last season's home opener against CSU was 21,454. It was a conference game, but there was not much excitement for last season for obvious reasons.
The excitement of a new head coach, new era, new field, etc., I think we will get between 25,000 and 30,000.
