My guess he will ride the pine or flourish with a competent coach who knows the meaning of discipline and accountability. He sure didn't have that here

It sure would be nice to not hear anything about Neal in Elijah's leaving, with a degree by the way. I had complaints about Elijah and really think it might make the TEAM better next year.

You could tell by the way he played during the 2nd half of the season that he'd made his decision long ago. So what that we lose 57 points a game in him, O and Tim leaving, but we're not going to only score 20 points a game without them. Scoring always comes in to fill the void.

I wish EB the best. It's really a shame that he never got it going consistently this season. I hope can do that next year. I do hope that remaing players at the guard position seize the opportunity and step up to earn EB's spot.

What are the odds that EB's shooting percentage and decision making improves with another coach? It's hard to say, not knowing where he is going yet, but the odds are that he will land at a place with a better coach than CN.

Can someone help me to understand what the advantage to EB is in transferring? If he staying at the college level, and all is good between he and Coach Neal, why transfer? I guess I do not understand what a different school can or will offer that a program like UNM did not offer. He was the focus of our offense and played over 30 minutes a game. Do we think he is really leaving under the best of circumstances, or are there other reasons such as coaching, fan disenchantment, etc.? It just feels bad to me whenever any player transfers.

You think all is well because of that statement he gave? All good like that time Coach Neal spent all season saying "Jordan Goodman has done everything we have asked him" and then he transfers and come to find out things between them were not good?

    1. UNM is in rebuild mode next season. EB would lose his offensive anchor in Williams, and defensive anchor in Obij
    2. Talented grad transfers are hot commodities and he will very likely go to a higher profile program
    3. 2 leads to higher exposure, better chance at going to the dance, and better chance at making it in the pros

EB is not a pro player. Just a good streaky shooter. Maybe a good offensive spark off the bench for a power 5 team.
We needed to press the reset button anyway.

Harris Hunter CMac and DJ will grow up and we can be good next year, especially if 1 of the 3 bigs is ready to play.
    Hope Joe is back.

I suspect that he will flourish in a program where he is not the focus of the other teams defense. It was interesting to watch how hard he had to work to get a sniff of an open shot this season. Maybe he goes to UCLA or a program where there are other volume shooters. I look forward to seeing who steps up in the Lobo program next season as a reliable scorer and hope that it is about 6 or 7 that can average 10 t0 15 points a game.

"I did not handle the situation with Elijah Brown well." --Craig Neal after some loss.

I think Brown made up his mind after his infamous tweet which was that same week.

From reading some of these posts, one would think that whenever a senior graduates, the player coming up behind them never scores a single point. Players who came off the bench step up into the starting role, and pine riders step into the role they left open. Kind of always been the case ... Good luck to EB, but I kind of feel the same as Julie: I think that we'll see a better team next year.

The website i read few weeks ago said if a player had previously transferred, then yes, it has to to be about the lack of a graduate program in that specific area that you then sign up to take at the new school.

If you have not transferred before, seems you can just go wherever.
