I still remember the exact time and place where I was.
I remember not hearing one plane in the sky. Something you will never forget.

I was sitting in Freshman Science class when everyone was talking about it. I would usually wake up every morning with my dad, eat breakfast and watch the news before school but that day I didn't for some reason, I just remember being real confused about what had happened.
I feel like an idiot! But I am an idiot so it kinda works out!
I was watching a Stock Market update report. They broke away from the show to provide people a glimpse of the hole in one of the towers. They were reporting that they thought it was a small, private plane that had accidentaly flown into the tower. The size of the hole told me that it had been something bigger than a small Cessna. Pretty crazy day. Things have never been the same since.

I was at the residential school dorm watching early morning t.v. with 2 young students they both thought it was a movie. I could not believe my eyes. Prayers are said daily for the souls of all the brave heros and innocent victims and their families.
I flew back from Europe with my parents the day before it happened. And the day it happened my best friend was living in NYC at the time. His father worked in the World Trade Center and luckily was at lunch when it happened. It's something I will never forget and is always in the back of mind. Be greatful for everyday you have on this earth and the great friends I have and defintely the fantastic family I am blessed with.

Was here in Mexico and my daughter phoned from Albuquerque and told me a plane had crashed into the one tower, she said there was a chance it was a terrorist, we turned on Direct TV and while watching and listening to reports the second plane flew into the other towe, I could not believe my eyes, what a sad day, and so many try to say it didn't happen and that the US staged it. It did bring us together for a while, God bless America!
I remember driving down Montano and was listening to the idiots on the Sports Animal. They reported a plane had crashed into the first tower, and they stopped joking around. When they stopped joking and turned it over to the network news, I knew it was bad news. I can remember every minute of that morning.

I was living on the west side at the time I was a Junior at UNM and just had my first daughter... she was only 3 months old. I remember rushing to the TV and immediately calling my wife. I watched the second plane hit and emotion washed over me. I was so so mad because these people that did this and my daughter was going to have to live in a whole different world then I grew up. It was really an emotional day. I can also remember being glued to the TV and not wanting to go to class, waiting and waiting for UNM to cancel and it finally came down that they had.
I was also pretty saddened on a personal level because my family drove across country one year to a family reunion in North Carolina, and while on the east coast we went to New York and Washington DC and I can still remember one of the first sites I saw while approaching New York were these two insanely tall building way in the distance. I can also remember being so awed by being on the observation deck of one of the towers, and watching a single engine plane fly down the Hudson below me. It was awesome.
I WAS SITTING IN ALGEBRA 1 CLASS AT MITCHELL HALL AND EVERY CLASS ROOM IN MITCHELL HALL HAD THERE TV ON WATCHING.

I was in the Marine Corps, avionics technician when we had to stop what we were doing. The base was on high alert. Commanding Officer explained what was going on and right then and there we got our "game faces" on. 4 months later we were on our way to Afghanistan.

I had just got to work when the receptionist told me a plane had hit one of the towers. I went to my office and turned on the radio, thinking it was a small passenger plane. Then the second plane hit. I sat there stunned, listening to my radio. All my co-workers sat in my office with me the rest of the day, just staring at the radio and listening. I went home and turn on the TV after work. It didn't really hit until I actually saw it. My wife and I had divorced a few months before, but she called me and we stayed on the phone for an hour while she cried.
