Great game. Almost perfect in his 13 minutes of play. Coming along very nicely. He shows that he's played on this court before.
4-4 from the field and 1-1 from the 3
4-4 from the line
3 rebounds.
1 assist
13 points 2 turnovers.

Agreed. I did not expect that from him at this point. Just another example of how deep we are.
Chad doesn't look like a freshman to me. He calls for the ball and he wants to play, he's not scared to get involved as sometimes frosh are. He's got game and we need that, great game Chad! What a freethrow shooter!

I think Chad has a TON of potential. He is really quick out there and moves really well. His athleticism shows and he is playing hard on the defensive end. I think he will only get better and better. Good game Chad!

Chad is a quality in state recruit who stayed HOME... He has always had a nose for the ball, he will get QUALITY coaching too !!!
I love that we are keeping some of our in-state athletes. Adams and Kirk, and Nelson may be the trio to set a trend in keeping our home grown talent to stay and play locally.
Yes, after reading so much of the obviously deserved hype surrounding all the other players Chad was the unknown factor to me. He has quickly become not just a local kid but a player who belongs on the court with all these other great players and also the most pleasant surprise of the bunch.
We are looking good!
GO LOBOS!

I hope Chad develops into our defensive monster this year. I want him to be the glove when we need it against anyone who's got someone 6' 8'' or less who gets on a roll.
That and we need to bring Chad Sr. (Toppert). I hope Toppert is working with Adams an hour a day after practice on Adams' jumper.

This fan base loves their home grown guys. Seeing Chad play like he did last night was fantastic. He is so athletic and deceptively smooth. He is going to surprise some people this year.
im sure he'll grow to 6'8 and imagine him as a senior under the tutelage of SA and Noodles !
I like how Chad goes to the basket after shots and tries to get position - not automatically run the other way. He's looking for rebounds. And he isn't afraid to mix it up inside. Anybody remember Michael Johnson from back in the day - another converted post player that did well on the wing (while he was here).

Chad is doing well with his change of position at post in high school to D-1 and a wing, he has the athleticism to make that transition and looks good doing it, any body remember Willie Banks from inside to outside? Another home grown product moves up.
I thought this would be a 2 to 3 year transition (which is why a redshirt year would have benefited him), but he's making a mockery of that schedule. He's playing right now the way I envisioned him playing 2 years from now as he improved his handles and his outside shot. He's on the fast track, that's for sure.
Kudos to Chad and the staff for making this much progress. I still think he's just scratching the surface of his potential.
I also was glad to see Chad "break out" a litle. I have said many times that I like his game. He fits this system well. He also looks to be a little taller than I thought he was. Is the guy still growing?
Go Lobos! Go Erskine & Shump! Go Lucas! Go Cam!

coach made him "HUNGRY" by sittin out that 1st game,, Chad is ready, glad to see Staff getting to play some minutes. GO CHAD !!
Personally, I'm not too surprised by his improvement - none the less, it's great! I remember hearing lots of "redshirt Chad" comments....hhmmmm. ;-)
Seriously though, I thought he'd be this good by end of this year simply because of the competition he and the rest of the guys are getting during practice. Everyone looked sharp and ready for the season. IT WAS AWESOME!!!
GO LOBOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also see that Chad Adams may still be growing. He looks about 6-7 right now. Under Alford, Neal, and the others on the staff, I think the guy will become a very good player for this BB Program. It would be sweet to see the guy grow into a PF before our eyes.
I agree. Maybe as excited as we all are about Snell maybe we shouldn't annoint him as Hobson's replacement - Chad may have a thing or two to say about that. Isn't quality competition great!
