I am curious how many Dish Subscriber there are on this forum that are forced to follow their beloved team via an internet stream? I am one and I am fed up with it.
I am asking everyone to join me and the legions of other disgruntled Dish Network in a campaign to get a message across: there is demand for this channel and WE WANT IT NOW!!!
I have confirmed that currently The Mtn. is the 2nd most requested channel at Dish Network!
If all the Dish subscribers form the UNM, BYU, UNLV, SDSU, CSU, Utah, TCU, Wyoming & Air Force forums come together and agree to call and email during the first week of February maybe we can move the channel to the top of the list. More importantly, they will see that there is legitimate demand for this channel and address whatever difference that have with The MTN.
Step 1: Copy and Paste this post to every single MWC team forum that you can find for the next several days.
Step 2: Beginning Monday, February 1st and every day for that week each of us need to place a call and send an email Dish Network requesting that they begin providing the Mountain Network on their channel.
Even, if you aren’t a Dish Network subscriber we still can use your help….so PLEASE feel free to join in!

I voted with my feet. Switched to direct three weeks ago. Cost Dish $1500 a year after 12 years. Only way I knew to get their attention. Couldn't be happier.Dish
I am forces to have Dish in my Condo Complex since I dont face south. I have to watch a feed for every game except for the ones on versus

Good luck BYF. I have DirecTv and having TheMtn is well worth it.
If Dish doesn't add TheMtn, you should consider DirecTv.
I fought the same battle...finally switched to Direct-TV...and couldn't be happier! Now if only Direct-TV and Comcast could reach an agreement on the Versus channel!
Echo. Finally switched to DIRECT this fall....much happier person now
Screw TheDish...hate those fools!
I switched t Directv about a year ago. I am more than happy. Everything about Direct is beetr than dish from customer service to programming. The HD programming is significantly better. My only gripe is that they don't carry versus, but that is not their fault. It is Comcast issue exclusively.
basically Dish lost my business. In turn my sister switched as did my dad, two sons and few friends.

you would think with the success of the Mountain West Conference in football and basketball they would be happy to have the mountain on Dish.
Unfortunetly, I just pick up Dish Network back in June, foolishly assuming they carried The Mtn, so the fee to switch is a deterrent. But I do understand what you guys are saying and in the end I will probably have to bite the bullet and just switch over to DTV.

I may have to switch to Direct from Dish as well. I'm getting freakin' tired of losing the connection every time we have snow, fog and sometimes rain --- ARGH!!! :-(
I switched to Direct TV 1.5 years ago. One bonus I did not expect is that the signal appears to be more reliable during bad weather. Not sure if there is any reason for this - maybe it is just a coincidence.
BYF - You should E-mail them a link to this thread. Just a thought.
I switched to Direct once they got The MTN. I also very clearly let DISH know why I was switching. When there was some talk about The MTN being available on DISH, I kept calling them and asking for it and I let them know that I was cancelling because they did not carry The MTN. I feel for you guys that still have DISH. I will send the email you asked cuz it sucks not to be able to watch our Lobos.
A few Aztecs are getting on board.

Good luck Dish people. I posted at the start of football season that the mtn. and the Mountain West have become successful enough that DirecTV was running TV and radio ads in the Denver area bragging that it had the mtn. and "the other guy" didn't, and that's why everybody should switch to DirecTV.
