Question for the guys who paint up for the games....

Are you trying to bring attention to yourselves, like the students at SDSU, or are you doing it in support of the team? I noticed you guys almost got booted tonight, so I wanted to see what was up... Also what the hell does VS stand for?

I'm not one of them, but it was VC and it stood for "Valencia Campus"

They almost got booted because the children in front of them were bitching about their level of enthusiasm. When Darrington hit the half-court shot, the student section went crazy and the children were angry because they got bumped.

No, I mean children as an insult to their level of maturity. They were whining like three year olds and two of them were wearing ear plugs.

Every time the student section would erupt they would stand still and glare at the painted guys.

Thats weaksauce, I can see them being pissed if those guys were doing something to them, but if they were just enjoying themselves, than tell the "kids" to go fly a fricken kite....

Are you serious?! Everyone knows the student section is the loudest and proudest section in The Pit! C'mon ... all of them stand for the entire game! And as far as I know ... they are a respectful bunch (e.g. when asked not to wear "Mormon" attire for the BYU game, they didn't). We rely on this section to get into the heads of our competing team. If these "children" are not students ... methinks it's time to change seating arrangements and have that whole section for students, non-complainers and Snake! I love the student section and always look forward to their innovative ideas ... I always keep a lookout for the whiteboard =) A saying comes to mind in this: "If you want to run with the big dogs, you can't pee like a puppy" ... just MHO =)
