Let's try to get a good group there representing the Lobolair!
is this a live chat on television?
No. It's a live blog chat, targeted specifically at the Non-Big 6 conferences.

The MWC is already getting ripped apart in the comments section.
Pretty much all Lobo talk so far. LMAO.

I don't think Lunardi can take a hard position on anything. He just says "oh, gotta love them" instead of, I have UNM over BYU or vice versa
Yeah, this is a pretty informal chat.
My question:
Assuming that the Lobos run the table, by winning their remaining games and the MWC tourney, would it be safe to say the Lobos are deserving of a 2 seed?
Joe's answer:
Joe Lunardi: "Deserving" may be the wrong word. Lots more teams may deserve a certain seed than the four who can actually get it. Personally, I would be surprised if UNM got past the No. 3 where we currently have them.
Thanks judas!![]()
Hey, a UTEP comment from Zouk. Utep? lol.
I've submitted at least a dozen on the Lobos already. None posted. Had to squeeze something else in there to get some love.

Apparently we've reached the ceiling with Lunardi.

I even sent an Aggie question. They are playing in a bracketbuster game.
Interesting nugget...
Joe Lunardi: Our tourney odds program still showing UNLV with 75 percent chance for NCAA bid.
Another interesting quote:
Joe Lunardi: For me, the key question for the Mountain West is how the Committee views the top teams. Last year, great RPI in that conference didn't mean very much in terms of seeding (e.g., Utah).
Getting some really good stuff on this chat. Hope everyone's reading!
Eamonn Brennan: New Mexico is another good one, Eric, but are we counting New Mexico and BYU as mid-majors?
Diamond Leung: I do like Darington as well. Roman, too. And Dairese. I can't choose!
My question. I keep changing my name so they'll take more of my questions.

Doesn't Steve Alford deserve to be a strong candidate for COY?
Diamond Leung: Songsultan, Alford is a good pick. Think UNM can keep him?
Eamonn Brennan: I wonder if Iowa would like Steve Alford back at this point. Whoops.

I have $60 million in Pit renovations that says they can, Diamond.
Diamond Leung: The new Pit's going to be sweet, huh?
Eamonn Brennan: Alford's probably not going anywhere. Unless he wants Ernie Kent's job in Oregon. Not the worst jump in the world.
Another question answered:
Andy Katz: To answer OK This is Cool: BYU, New Mexico are locks. UNLV and San Diego State still need to win a few games. I could see BYU and UNM both winning at least one game, maybe two, depending on matchups.
Good chat. Got the UTEP Miners some love as well.
Very fun chat!
I posted "How many games does UNM have to win in a row, and how high do they have to get ranked to qualify for some decent coverage on ESPN?"
Never appeared. Gay.
Haha, had a discussion on there with Eamonn Brennan about the Lobos and the Pomeroy rankings.
Were you Pancho? Good discussion. I don't understand why so many people live and die by the Pomeroy rankings.
I am Pancho, sometimes.
I don't really have a problem with tempo-free rankings, its just that they can fall short when a team's game is tempo control. And if half of your system is offensive efficiency you have to weight things like offensive rebounding and second chance points heavier than he does.
