8-8. No it is not a midseason win/loss for some mediocre team.
It is New Mexico's current ranking in the Coaches and Writer's poll.
What the feedback?
What is the spin?
Is Alford pleased?
What does it mean for NCAA bracketologists?
Where does it go from here?

So why is this a taboo post? Is everyone let down by the new rankings? Is it just anticlimatic given all of the other positive news. I mean, wouldn't you have been thrilled if you heard at the beginning of the season we'ld be 8 and 8 this week?

Absolutely Fantastic!!!!!! We are Top 10! Does one spot either way really matter at this point? Not much IMO. From here on out its just win games. The next Poll to really matter is after the tournaments.

I'm not let down in the slightest. It's just great to maintain the lofty ranking in the AP, and now the coaches have validated this number. Finishing the regular season in the top 10 is so far beyond what anyone imagined that words sometimes escape us. Wow.

Who would have thunk it ?? #8 in the coaches poll up 2 notches,,,, absolutely FAN-tastic !! 3rd season coming up... Lets go Lobos woof,woof,woof,, our team got a good rest, awards and now it is time to reap the fruits of hard work, most important game of the year is the next one, it is time to romp and stomp in VEGAS ....
