Trainer1, did butta say anything on the status of DG?

I know Gary is a trooper but a lot of times injuries like that hurt more after you've had a chance to cool down. Does ANYONE know how DG is doing?

They had said during the broadcast that he strained his lower left back muscle. It is a new injury.

Alford said the trainers were going to earn their money in the next 20 hours to get DG ready for game time tomorrow. Expect sales of Ibuprofen and ICY HOT sales to go through the roof!

Garth got a little time today and I didn't even see Fenton in the game. Those two should be well rested should Gary be unable to make it the whole way. If I were coaches, I wouldn't risk losing Gary for an extended period of time if it's a serious injury. Odds are that a 3 seed is as high as they will get if things play out like they should this weekend, regardless of the outcome of this game. I wouldn't push him, I wonder if the coaches might even consider sitting him.

Dairese has been beat up all year, literally. UNM's trainers are about best around. I want to win every game we have left, but obviously wins in the NCAA is the goal at this point. My guess is Gary will be just fine come tomorrow, but if not, they will certainly have him ready one week from now. There have been at least 5 games this year that Gary limped to the locker room looking like he could use a month off only to get right back on the horse the next game. He is probably the toughest player I've seen at UNM going back to the Stormin' Norman days.
