As much as we love BUTTA and DG they cant do it by themselves! I think it will have alot to do with getting RO and PMAC hitting open jumpers again. If RO can stay around his average of 14pts/game and not go 5/10 from 3 one game and 2/11 the next and stay consistant along with PMAC getting back around 12 to 13 pts/game we would be back to winning convincingly. In the last 6 games PMAC'S highest scoring game has been 10 pts and the other 5 were all single digits. Their contribution will be huge in the upcoming game/games. With that being said If butta goes for 50 and 20 and we win Im happy with the win either way get it done no matter how you do it but I think it would benefit us tremendously if RO and PHIL get back to their beginning of the year consistancy. GO LOBOS!!! GETTTTITDONE!!!
Butta brings it down, puts a nice move on jimmer the rest of BYU collapses on him and he finds RO in the corner..NOTHIN BUT NET for a win over BYU in the conference tourny!!!!-A dream i had.
Agree Ro and Philly have to at last have their "average" games.
However, I really think our biggest room for improvement is defense. We were only 7th in the MWC in defense. SDSU shot over 60% from 3 and Montana shoots close to 40% from 3 as a team, so that will be a huge key to the game. Can we face guard their 3 point shooters and allow AJ and Will to lock down mano y mano.
If we drastically improve our FG % defense (holding opponents to sub 40%) then I do think we can win multiple games and get on a run.
Adrenaline does great things.
Not to disagree... but defense and rebounding are the key. The Lobos have never had impressive offensive numbers/FG%, but have won on 2nd chance shots. We have to take a lot more shots, and that only works when a lot of them are 2nd chancers. If the Lobos do not give it their all on Defense and Rebounding, it will be a short journey.
