I must admit I don't care who wins the AL pennant so long as it isn't the Yankees.
You may not believe this, but it is only the 2nd win in the play-offs in Franchise history.
Only other win was in Yankee Stadium in 96' I think, but otherwise, had a donut until yesterday.
Hopefully, they can find a way to get it done again today going up 2-0 would send Texas fans into a frenzy for the home games this weekend!![]()
Rangers win Game 2.
Now have Game 3 here in Arlington tomorrow!!!
If Game 4 is needed, it will be on Sunday, the same day the Cowboys play at Cowboys Stadium. Talk about maxing out those parking lots!
Texas A & M and Arkansas play at Cowboys Stadium on Saturday meanwhile Baylor and TTech play over at the Cotton Bowl, meanwhile, TCU, SMU and North Texas will all be hosting NCAA football games as well.
Talk about one busy sports weekend in DFW. They predicted total fans of over 250,000 for all games and I would guess it will could 400,000 if the Rangers play 2 games!!!
Cliff Lee sets an ALDS record 21 strike-outs in game 1 and a game 5, winner take all full game effort, WOW!!!
Next up, the big bad Yankees starting Friday in Arlington!![]()
Dang. The F@#$^&* Yankees won 6-5. That sucks. Hopefully the Rangers can get a win in Game 2.
Yep, nice way for the Rangers to respond in Game 2.
Cliff Lee then dominates that Yanks in Game 3 and the Rangers pound the Yank bullpen for an 8-0 win and now up 2-1.
Only bummer the Yanks will throw a huge pile of cash at Cliff Lee after the season if the Rangers win the series.
So Rangers could go to World Series, but possibly lose their best pitcher...![]()
I work near the ballpark....tomorrow is gooooing to suck at 5pm....not being able to go and then have to drive thru the traffic....but gonna be an awesome game. Need to attack the yanks early
