Impressive list for sure. Coach's goal is to take the program to the big time and these recruits along with the team we have would do it. Whether we get one or none, the fact that they are persuing these type of recruits is encouraging.

    GO LOBOS

I would like to see us get at least one top 100 Frosh each year like Bliss did back in the 90s with Kenny Thomas, Lamont Long, Kevin Henry, etc. Not sure but I believe Spider was also top 100 but perhaps Clayton Shields was top 150. At least one top 100 is the minimum, but two every now and then would be really sweet.

Aren't we already getting it done there?

    Hobson (top 100-07)
    Philly (top 100-08)
    Gordon (top 50-08)
    Negedu (top 50-08)
    Kirk (top 100-10)

Brown "may" have been top 150 or so. Same with Fenton. Possibly Hardeman also?

    Gary performs like top 100.

IMO, recruiting now is several notches above the mid 90's. Seems now, every player we recruit has the potential and ability to be a front line starter at some point in time.

We may have the most depth this year, top to bottom that we've ever had and that should be the case next year as well.

UNM is not the only MWC program recruiting those three. Which is why I included the MWC.

I feel the same way. It seems like every single player we have coming in these days is a top 100 player, even if the online scouts aren't smart enough to rate them as such. The talent we have on the team and with the recruits we have coming has exploded. We have had some great players and some great teams in the past, but it just seems like the players we have currently on board and coming in soon are way up there in talent and skills and it's not just a few players either. There is big time talent beginning with the starters and extending to all of the reserves. Seems like every one of the them has the potential to be a super star. We are living in some awesome times Lobo fans.

Bliss got one top 100 guy every year, but he also got a lot of Juco guys that were questionable. It was really hard to know how talented some of his second-tier recruits were because Bliss refused to go past the 6th or 7th man on the bench.

No offense to you or Bliss. I was a Bliss fan, but Alford's recruiting is currently light years ahead of Bliss.

BTW, your avatar of Brad Wright is awesome. Brad Wright I believe was the best quarterback at UNM. I even put him above Stoney Case.

I too was a big Brad Wright fan. He and Noel Mazzone were two of my all time favorite Lobo QBs.

    Here's a more recent photo.
