Bad News.

Yakka's girlfriends mom is battling cancer and is not having a good week. He wont make it out since hes going to say with his girl and her mom and console them in this tough time. We all joke and laugh around here but I thought that we should send out our prayers and thoughts with their family.

Get well soon and know your girls family will be in my prayers tonight, Yak!

Yakka,I hope things turn out OK for all those you love. There has been cancer in my family this year, but things now look very promising. I respect your decision to put your girlfriend and her mother above sports.It does put things in perspective. I remember the quote but have temporarily blocked on the coach who said it: When asked if an important upcoming game was a "must win," he replied that WWII was a must win, not the game.

Thanks guys for all you're wishes. Everyone that has replied to this thread...My Girl is looking at this thread as I speak and she says that she definitely feels hope after reading this thread. We're heading to San Diego tomorrow...should know a lot more tomorrow...the Kemo is what has really been tough on her mother. I'm keeping her spirits up and will be sure to let you guys know what's going on. Thanks again you guys are really awesome and I'll be seeing a lot of you very soon! I cannot put into words what you're well wishes mean to me and my Girl. It's very much appreciated.

So show P-Mac the love this weekend. Show him what Lobo Basketball passion is all about.

Yakka, I have had family members who have suffered through cancer as probably most of the posters on this board. My father in law is currently battling cancer and my father also had cancer before he passed away. It is hard to deal with those situations but it goes without saying that Lobo fans all hope for the best during this difficult time for you and your girl friend's family. Stay strong.
