    Tickets for Las Vegas Classic

Quick question for anyone in the know. We are thinking about going to the Las Vegas Classic. I assume that buying tickets through UNM ticket office is the best option. Any reason to do it differently?

    Thanks.

    Are many of you going??

we purchased thru the Orleans prior to UNM selling tickets. We got great seats although not sure if we are with other lobo fans. I would call both places to see what is available and go from there. Make sure you have the configuration of the arena for basketball in order to see where your seats would be as there are different configurations for different events.

I would think if you want to sit with the Lobo fans the UNM ticket office would be the place to get your tiks.

Going through the UNM ticket office is a big help, as the school is responsible for a certain amount of tickets. Call (505) 925-5858 to puchase them through the ticket office.

    hey Catherine,

I'm heading down that way for the classic too. Its a few of us from the Lair going down there. We still have not gotten our tickets either. I think we are just goi9ng to get them when we arrive at the arena. Usually if you buy them in advance you have to buy all games at one time. It is cheaper if you want to go to all games but not necessar if you only intend on going to the lobo games and having fun the rest of the time!!

I went through the Orleans ticket office on the phone.
If you go this route, call in the afternoon, because they can't access all the seating charts till after noon (their time).
I went for the less expensive tix ($65, as opposed to $110)) and paid for my room at the Orleans with the difference - got seats in the 4th row in 114.
    Lots available apparently.

(Don't thimk they sell individual game tix, just daily packages.)

I'm pretty sure they are only selling packages, not individual games. Worth asking though!

When I bought my tickets, they had a bunch of seats left. Since I bought mine at the Orleans ticket office, I didn't have to pay all the extra fees ( i think i saved $16 on each packet). So i paid $44 for the cheapest packet. So i would suggest checking w the Orleans Ticket office and if they still have many seat available, wait until you get there to save some money. I bought 4 seats so we saved around $60.

Does anyone know what times the games are? We would love to catch the Vegas Bowl but #1 priority is basketball. How many games a day are there?

The game on the 22nd Vs colorado is at 7:00pm Vegas time. The Boise Utah vegas bowl is at 5:00pm vegas time. Maybe you could catch the first half of that game before getting to the lobo game. I thought of going to both but i think it would be cutting it too close.

I like how they are promoting South Carolina as being in the tournament, when in fact it is South Carolina State.

Ultimately it looks better if you can go through UNM. They are giving an allotment, and if they can sell that allotment, they can use this as proof to be invited to other tourney's in the future. Tourney's like teams who have traveling fans.

However, if you want to go cheaper, I am sure you can get cheaper seats just going direct. But this route is seen as walk up crowd and doesn't rep UNM in tickets sold.

    Have fun.

I got my tickets through UNM. Now just trying to decide whether to fly or drive. A road trip with a 9 year old can be really fun or excrutiating ...
