He decomitted after his brother who was already on the team got kicked off. Other than that he's really a under the radar player I guess you could say...
Mark, looked at Cleveland Thomas and it indicates he is signed with the University of Louisiana. Did he de-committ? He sounds like a real sleeper.

Don't get this arbitrary off-hand baby-slap worth a damn. What's the point of it? You are some... outlaw, an iconoclast, a tough guy speaking "new truth" to old power? You know, that ain't how you do it. What you do is, you take on the REAL bad cats of the world. Are you young enough? Got any code you live by? If so, US Army needs more soldiers, and they have the UCMJ -- the uniform code of military justice. Try that.

What's radical: Yeah, those old dreams were good dreams. A few didn't hold fast, yet, here towards the last, I'm crazy glad I had them.
All up to the date info. Look for lots more over the next month and 1st live period of the summer.

I notice that Obej is not listed. Shouldn't he be listed as 2013 as offered & committed? Assuming I am correct, how does that impact how many schollies we have for 2013? Thanks in advance for any info.
It can work a number of ways. Officially Obij is no longer officially committed because he's going prep again. But everyone knows he's a UNM commit. We can either take one from 2012 if we don't use it or use one from 2013 if we need it. Doesn't look like we're going to sign anyone for 2012 but who knows. Basically we will "bank" the 2012 scholly.

Much needed update. I believe that is 100% current and all up to date. I still think theres about 5-10 players we are still waiting to shake out.

Need to add big Tim to the "committed list".
Derryck Thornton, Jr. (2016). Another we offered while he was still in eighth grade.
Hopefully those two young Aussie phenoms are on our radar, as well.

Can any of the kids from AZ use a lottery scholarship?
Obij is 2014 now? Is that right?
I thought a few months back there was talk of other Louisiana prospects that were on our radar in Pancake's part of the country, but I don't see any kids listed from LA and even coach Neal I thought mentioned about it's not a heavily recruited part of the country?
Are there any players we are targeting in that area (i.e. Pancakes former teammates or players he played against?)
Josh Perkins guard out of CO from the video we need to go very hard to get this kid. Check out the video!

ESPN does have UNM on Perkins' list. Big time prospect for sure.
I'm impressed with this kid... Hope we can land him
This kid can pass and ball. We need this dude. Sign him.

WE ARE NEW MEXICO !
Dominique Collier who we have on the board is the better of the two, but Josh is coming on strong. I suspect either one would be a special recruit and would go well with our offense and both play defense. Josh goes to Regis Jesuit so his grades should be excellent and Dominique has been on the honor roll since he was a Freshman at East. Dominique is starting pick up interest nationally and I would think Josh would too.
Only thing about Perkins from watching the video, he needs to cool down the dogging and celebration after big plays. Pretty sure he got a T around the 3:55 mark.
Now the fantastic, I want this kid! he can pass with the best of them.
Perkins could be the next Kendall. Please sign him!
Perkins already is developing an NBA body and will be BIG time..
Wow! Impressive. Bigger point guard with exceptional passing abilities!![]()
Are we recruiting Jordan McLaughlin?
I believe we are, yes.

Just a suggestion. Would it make sense to have a separate "thread" for each year's class? Have a 2013 thread, 2014 thread, 2015 thread, etc.
That way, if any of us want to specifically review our 2014 recruits, we're not having to scan 13 pages of posts to see which are specifically 2014 recruits and comments or info about those recruits?
I'd like to get up to speed on the 2014 class, since we would most likely have 4 spots open.
Johnathon Wilkins seems to be an active big, but appears to be mostly a offensive rebound and put back or cut down the lane for a quick-pass and dunk. (based on a whopping 1 minute video)
You listed him as a green, keeping an eye on, but not one of the top tier priorities?
BTW, of all the "bigs" you have listed, probably Fitzner, would be the most ideal for what we run. Chad is showing this year and Ro did a couple years back, a stretch 4 can really be a force in our offense and he has the size to defend the post on defense.
Lastly, do you have any idea of how many of each type of player we are after? Will we simply try to replace the positions we lose: 1 post, 1 small forward and 2 guards. Or, will we try to get a diff mix?
Honestly, I'd like to see us target some bigger shooting guards, kind of like Merv or Devon, but as a shooting guard. Seems, over the last few years, we have had trouble guarding the 6'5-6'6" type of player with handles.
Maybe ZC and Pickens are targeted to fill that need?
IMO, that's when PMac was most effective at the 2 guard spot. He could shoot right over the top of most defenders his frosh and soph years and it helped his rebounding.

I counted 22 players we are recruiting. I cant remember that many in the past.
