After reading Murky's article this morning I couldn't help but fire this off, though we all know it will never see print.
Mark Smith’s writing for dummies 101: Question current player’s toughness and ability, check. Use term “rose colored glasses”, check. Mention players who have left and could potentially leave, check and check. Add snide remark about facilities and The Pit upgrade, check. Question a schedule which was completed 12-24 months prior with multi-year commitments, check. Finally, question fan expectations and enthusiasm, check. Who knew it was so easy to write for the Journal. One could only imagine what it would take for Mark to write an actual article and earn his keep. Unfortunately for the rest of us we’ll never know.

Whats the point of even reading this jerk? His agenda is pretty obvious which is to deny the Lobo program is on an upswing, our rebuilding years now are NIT years (previously they were spent in the MWC cellar) with a national buzz on the potential for this program. What I can't understand is why the Journal employs such a tool?
Well done!
Hilarious. He questions Anthony Grants' decision to call off the dogs in the final 2 minutes. By calling off the dogs the Lobos whittled a 16 point deficit down to 6 with 30 seconds remaining in the game. Mark was upset with Anthony's poor coaching. Oh, and also dropped a line that said we are the team that has played the most years (19) without having a championship to show for it. And we are 0-8 all time on the NIT road. I've gotta' give him credit for the extensive research he did to gather that information. Mark's having some fun. Good for him.
