Just woke up and saw on the ESPN crawler that Boise and AF are most likely to decline the Big East invitation. Apparently Boise told MWC that it has no plans to leave and AF soured on it with Army declining and Navy skeptical. This is per Andy Katz, so I trust it's credibility a little more. What a blow to the Big East if this is true, and great for the MWC's chances at an AQ!
No word on SMU or Houston yet, FYI.

The Big Least? The Big cEased?
Maybe MWC will come out the winner in all this mess. I could not imagine the logistics of a Air Force once in conference play and at least they are near Denveri Airport, imagine Boise State? All flight paths to Boise probably fly through Salt Lake City or Denver, that would be tough...

Just posted a thread on the football side saying the same thing. Merge... The threads.
I've read different things. I have read the BSU and AFA have already signed in one article. In another, they state it depends on the remaining BE members signing the 10 million exit. In another, it states that it depends on Missouri staying in the big 12. It seems the Boise news wants them to go to the BE for the AQ. I guess we will know more by the end of next week. But I'm real happy basketball season is here.
Has there been any discussion of where BSU's other sports teams would end up - it cannot be a conference that is a member of the FBS (is that right? I have a block about these new terms - I still prefer Div 1a.). I guess the most logical would be the Big Sky, but would BSU want that and would the Big Sky take them?
It isn't looking like BSU or AFA will make the move. On the other side of this new mega-conference, it doesn't look like UCF is going to make the move either. Apparently, they gave a blessing for the merger and the C-USA commish doesn't feel they'll make the move.
I'm interested in seeing how all this plays out with the BCS/AQ and TV.
