Sounds like coach gave him alot of praise for his hard work . Looks like he has the been the only player on the team that has caught the eyes of the coach through the first five practices. Good job Chad. Keep up the hard work.

WE ARE NEW MEXICO !

Chad has to work hard, I am happy for him and wish him the best. Alford recruited him because of his talent. GO LOBOS !!
It looks like Chad will be filling in at PF this year, He has always been good inside and he may get a lot of time there this year with Alex not playing.

Chad Adams actually had one of the better 3-point percentages on the team. He didn't get a lot of opportunities, but when he did I think he held his own. I'd still like to see him get more time at the small forward spot.
I agree, Alford said he really likes all the hard work he has seen in the last 5 practices. Looks like chad will be seeing some playing time this year.

It's funny that when we discussed lineups and expectations from the players, Chad was rarely mentioned. Yet, as I recall, he was a top-150 player coming out of high school, at least in some rating services. The knock against him was that he had played inside and would have to develop more skills to play D-1 on the wing. Physically, he's impressive: 6-6 and long with a wiry frame, athletic with good lateral quickness. As I remember, he looked very good at the start of last season. He had obviously put time in working on his outside shooting. Although more of a flat-footed set shot, he was accurate with it. His handle was still a work in progress but he was now capable of some drives to the basket. All in all, he looked to be well on his way to fulfilling his potential. I'm not sure what happened next, but he regressed as the season went on. We know what happened after the season ended, and all sorts of rumors went out about him transferring. Fortunately, that never took place and Chad now sounds to have acquired a maturity and determination to be the Lobo he, his family, and the fans have hoped for. I expect him to be an important part of the success that this team will achieve.
He kind of became the forgotten man. I wanted to write something about his performance at the howl, but honestly, I could not recall anything about his performance. He didn't have much in the way of highlights, so nobody discussed him.
It's good to hear that he's gotten things going since the howl.
