Ok, so as it seems. The MWC is no longer the MWC in terms of strength, depth and respectability...

I understand UNM is in a bad bad situation because of the State of the football program. But its time the Pres. Schmidley and Paul Krebs should start taking a pro-active approach and ensure the New Head coach at UNM is a respectable name, that may even have connections to other AQ conferences..

We need to do what SDSU is doing and throw our names out there with the hire of a Big name coach, and say "Look, weve been winners before, and were going to be winners again" "Were paying a high price coach big dollars to rebuild the Lobos program back to respecablility" "We provide a large unversity, with a winning reputation in Basketball, a team that can play in any conference"

Maybe we get together with SDSU and say we wanna play too!!

I dont know, I understand this kind of thing takes patience, but I dont like not seeing anything out there...
