Bob and weave, duck in, left hooks and uppercuts, one of the great fighters from the Golden Age of the Heavyweight division. Smokin' Joe will never be forgotten! At his height, as a light heavyweight, he would have been the all time greatest ever, but he stood in with the big boys and gave them more than most could handle.

Like most of us here, the memories of these epic battles (Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Quarry, Cooper, etc.) is really special and that's only boxing! Other sports (Cowboys/Redskins Secretariat/Sham, Reds/Red Sox, Knicks/Lakers) offered up their own epic rivalries and battles. The money was not as big as today, but the events sure seemed epic!
