So who thinks UNLV won't win the conference tourney? With the beat downs they have been delivering at home they look like the team to beat. We shouldn't feel too bad about the loss, UNLV did the same thing to BYU. I am guess if UNLV cruises to another conference tourney championship there will be more grumbling from AD's and coaches around the league, especially if the MWC turns out to be a one bid conference.
Looks like the lobos will finish the first half of the conference at 4-4, which probably should have been 6-2 with the two games the lobos hand delivered to SDSU and TCU. In the second half of conference I predict home wins against TCU and Wyoming and road wins at AF and CSU. That leaves games at SDSU and Utah up in the air as well as home games against BYU and UNLV. If we can any two of those that gives us a 6-2 second half and 10 -6 conference record which I would be very happy with.
Oh and another question...How in the heck did UNLV lose to Air Force????????

UNLV lost to Air Force because they couldn't knock down open shots like they did against UNM.
the lobos can knock down those open shots...the problem recently is getting an open shot...
I wish the Lobos were 6-2 as well, but I don't think we can play the "should have" game with these 'Bos. By the same token you could say they should have lost to Wyoming. Also, SDSU beat the Lobos by more than one score. It really was unfortunate that they lost to TCU. That is one I wish they could get back, but sometimes crappy officiating and 2nd half collapses happen.
I do think the Lobos can win 2 of the 4 tough games remaining on the schedule and still hit 10-6. They better not stumble against anyone else however. The margin for error is now razor thin. This is a team that needed two OTs to beat the miserable pokes so I don't think there are any gimmees on the schedule (well maybe the CS-ewe lambs).

Great thing about conference schedule is survive. With the exception of a Memphis team that is head and shoulders more talented than it's CUSA counterparts, every league will have teams that pull upsets and will be upset. 2 OT, blowouts, or buzzer beater however the W comes is fine. Remember at this point last year we had yet to even mark the MWC win column. Two more should be ours after this week and I think 9-7, maybe 10-6 overall, which I agree Mr Lobo would be just fine.

Your right VWolf this team doesn't have any room for error and their aren't any gimmees. I still think this team is better than they showed against BYU and UNLV. Those are the only two games of the season that they didn't show up for. I think the rematches in the Pit will be much more competitive (or at least I hope so).
I hope the lobos can gain some confidence and momentum at home against CSU and Wyo before heading off for revenge against SDSU.
I don't believe UNLV has the depth to win three games in a row, because their success depends on all-out effort, and that lags as you get fatigued. But the conference is weak, so maybe I'm wrong.
In the MWC Tourney, UNLV has been either first or second every year but one when it’s been at the Thomas & Mack. Lots of rest to be had in your own bed.
