Boise St. 13-12 (3-0)
The majority of teams we played didn't have a great couple of week. The best St. Louis (4-0) and Boise St (3-0) followed by NMSU (3-1) and Air Force (2-1). No other team on our schedule had a winning record over that time.
Wow, we sure played some bad teams.

Not playing against good teams is why it was a bit of shock and awe the 1st time the Lobos played SDSU and UNLV. Just had not really seen that level of play and speed.
Second, I hope we learn from CSU who continues to be in bubble team discussions, that playing BCS-schools on the road will continue to pay dividends the rest of the season--even a loss--up to March. Steal a win like UNLV against a top team and grab immediate national attention early on.
You have the luxury of losing to TCU on the road and you will still be ranked as UNLV will be come Monday.
Oh yeah, I forgot Steve Alford's Lobos don't lose on the road.

Wonder if playing bad teams has kept us out of the top 25 rankings. Duhhh. Some of those teams were projected to be better at the time we scheduled them. Course if they had your crystal ball they wouldn't have scheduled them. They could have gotten Kentucky or Duke on the schedule I'm sure.
