What is your demographic? 18-24 year old males with no income (students)?

    How many viewers?

Actually I would imagine that the demographic is very similar to that of the season ticket holders however Mark can probably answer that more precisely. I would say probably average income of about $45k to $70 k average income. Obviously probably professional with a 4 year degree.

I would suggest that you have a business card section, with low rates, so that those of us with low expectations of gaining clientele can get something affordable in (and make it tax deductible, so long as there is any expectation of clientele, even if small).

One thing I dont know is the demographic to be really honest but I would assume that Rusty is pretty dang close. Ive been running Google Analytics for the last 20 days or so. I think I have a really good feel on the numbers we do but another 9-10 days is need for a true 30 report.
Ive talked to a few webbie guys and they seemed pretty surprised at our numbers. Even my Web guy didnt think we did that kind of traffic.
But anyways. If your interested contact me via PM and we can talk and I can share the numbers you care about.
Weve already had about 5 people contact me whose expressed interest so thats a good thing.

Explain. Do you know of a website that does this?
Were doing everything the right way should we go this route. In fact, I was looking into opening a back acct specifically for all of this.
Thats already done should we move forward.

I would be interested. Even if the ad only gets enough business to cover the cost of the ad I would be happy to do this if it helps Mark. I admit I am pretty discouraged because I have spent money trying to market my photography business, and I believe I am good at what I do, and have received no return at all for my money. But what is different about LoboLair is I know Mark puts a ton of time into this and probably even a good sum of money for our enjoyment so I am glad to have a possibility of helping my photography business while at the same time helping Mark.

The terminology came from print media, which is what I am more familiar with. What it refers to in print is a page or pages in which small ads, essentially the size of business cards appear (Frequently it is a version of the business card). It is also used a lot in programs at athletic events and school activities (like a HS football program). Not really sure how much business it generates, but it permits small businesses to have a legitimate way to participate and generate the hope of some additional customers. In Web terms, I am not sure how it would appear - perhaps as a listing of services available. It might appear like a sheet in the yellow pages in a phone directory. I will look at web sites as I go along and see if I can find anything which meets the description.

What would be really nice is if in a post I could offer specials for LoboLair viewers, like no session fees and discounts on prints for portraits for example. Mark is very good about doing what he can to help his viewers and he should get something in return in my view. I think the challenge is to not overdo the advertising and to have reasonable controls. I think I should not be allowed to even hint at solicitation, for example, in a post unless I am actually paying something for advertising, this would be one of the areas he would need some sort of policy on.

I am in the process of becoming licensed with the Collegiate Licensing Company which means I will actually be able to sell Lobo photos (with all kinds of restrictions and conditions). I will have to spend a few hundred bucks for the process so I would be happy to just break even and this is the perfect venue to market something like this.

Maybe you should put up a demographic poll Mark. To make people comfortable make it anonymous and just ask folks for income bracket, age , education etc..goes a LONG way in selling advertising.

I sold advertising for a local paper as my first job out of high school. If you want some help pounding the streets let me know.

    Mark,

Enjoyed meeting you at O'Niell's. I may be interested in advertising as well. I run a financial literacy website aimed at teachers www.403bwise.com and I write books on financial literacy topics. One book is for teachers (Teach and Retire Rich) and one is for general public (Financial Literacy for the Young and the Young at Heart) which I think might be good for the LL demographic.

    Dan

Our business venture should be up and running by June and putting some ad's on the Lair wouldn't hurt.

Ok guys, we have about 5 people on board and im really excited! Im going to wait for the rest till we put up where the Ad placements are going to go. Then we will go from there. Looking like it should be done Sunday evening or Monday morning.
We will try that for a few months and see how things go before I make any decisions on the future. But im very encouraged with the way everyone is interested in advertising with us!

Marki. I don't have a business but I'd like to make a suggestion that for those who would want to make a donation (Via Check), that you have a box with an address on the top right corner of some of the Header postings. (Just a thought, I think you would be surprised with the response) GO LOBOS!.
