The District VIII team comprises all Division I schools in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, and Montana.

Weber State's Damian Lillard, who led the nation in scoring for much of the season, was the District VIII Player of the Year, and Tim Miles of Colorado State was the Coach of the Year.

Some D2A guy from Weber state gets picked ahead of Gordon for POY. And Harry Potter gets picked ahead of Alford for COY. It was tough to swallow when Franklin and Fisher squeaked out their awards over Gordon and Alford, but Lillard and Miles????
