I predict that Drew Gordon will be the surprize Pick of this years NBA draft! Would be neat if the Pacers would pick him. (team up with Danny Granger also from UNM). With Coach Alford also being from Indiana....sure could give us a foothold on future Indiana Elite athlete recruits.....Just a thought!

They are after coach Alford and they would sink Drew to get back at his coach, but this isn't new to thejournal, they treated Danny G. the same way when he was a senior at UNM.

Really? Which newspaper in the US would send a reporter 1900 miles to cover a pre-draft work-out?
The article that is linked is a blog. Why didn't this site cover it?
The refusal to talk with Smith, who does that benefit? Who does that hurt?

They would cut UNM's throat for any reason so why would a local newspaper have a story about a Drew doing well in the NBA tryouts, now that's a valid question, NOT. They don't have to send any one to the tryouts, just pick up the post tryout flyer and copy some press! It's not like they are real journalist anyway, that would fit their style, wait, they don't have any style!

Machado is way better than any of those point guards who they mentioned, him and Drew are in the same boat, they come from smaller schools so the exposure isn't as great as the others. Drew is a beast and he deserves to go first round

So Brooky, does Steve bear all the responsiblity in the breakdown of their relationship, or did he have a legitimate grievance with Mark over issues he covered? I agree, the current situation is not good for anyone. Without waiting for a response, I am guessing Steve will have to be the adult and get things patched up with the print media. Seems the Urinal has bowed their backs and will support Mark to the end. Since they probably encouraged him to pick the fight I guess that is only right.

Good things about Bennett going to UNLV; MWC shares the spotlight for recruiting purposes and he'll probably only be at UNLV for one season.

Before the season started, I had my personal doubts about drew making the NBA. Now, I am confident he will have a solid career.

Also, per this blog, Kentucky is so good that players ( tyshawn Taylor) are transferring to Kentucky after the season ended. I don't blame him, calipari pays better than the rest of the cheaters.

So what if the Journal doesn't cover this. I wouldn't read it anyways cause it would be in the Journal. I refuse to read the journal. I don't even even like to read the headlines in the store. If I know someone advertises in the journal I do not do business with them.

I will just wait til draft day. That will tell me everything I need to know about Drew Gordon. Reading a blog only tells part of the story. It's what the teams think of how he did that matter.
